Based on the Emmy award-winning reality series airing on CBS, Treetops brings back its own version of the Amazing Race. This is the 5th annual event at Treetops, which was highly successful in 2007 when 12 teams of four raced across the resort and into downtown Gaylord and had an absolute blast.
New for 2009!
We are offering three different ways to compete! You may race in a Kid’s Division (ages 13 and younger) or choose to be in a Low Impact Division (less running!) or the Open Division (for all ages, teens and adults welcome).
Proceeds from this year’s event will once again benefit the athletic departments of Otsego County Schools such as Gaylord, Johannesburg-Lewiston, Vanderbilt and Gaylord St. Mary.
Treetops New Terrain Park

New this season, Treetops is recreating the terrain park that will focus on safety, flow and beginner-Intermediate skill levels. Treetops will work with BOARDSPORT to incorporate features such as 20′ beginner and intermediate boxes of steel construction with plastic riding surfaces. Our terrain park will have 2 flat 10′ beginner rails as well as a 20′ intermediate round rail. There will be some challenging additions such as a beginner 16′ battle ship kinked rail as well as a 16′ intermediate rainbow rail. In addition, we will also be adding man-made and natural jib features such as barrels, and logs that can be used to slide or jump over or tap with skis or boards.
Your feedback is important to us! We would like you to let us know what you think of the new features or tell us what you would like to see. We will use this information to expand on our design, possibly incorporating an additional run for a new more advanced park in the future. Our goal this year and into the future is to provide a safe, fun and exciting area for snowboarders and skiers to test and expand their freestyle skills. We hope to give all of our park riders a positive experience while at Treetops and plan to expand our park to best meet the needs of our customers each year. October 2008 - March 2009 Season Pass Order
Our season passes are valid the entire season for unlimited skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing.
All season passes will be available for pickup Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm in Tickets and Rental. After opening day, season passes can be picked up during normal ski hours. For any questions on ski or if needing further information please send us an email to: skipassinfo@treetops.com.
Season Pass Holder Appreciation Days will be held:
- December 22nd, 2008
- January 30th and 31st, 2009
- March 13th and 14th, 2009

Purchase your season pass by November 16th, and receive 15% off the total purchase price. Purchase your season pass from November 17th through November 30th and recieve and receive 10% off the purchase price. Make a purchase from December 1st through December 12th, 2008 and receive (misspelled on the webpage) the respective county rates. After December 12th, all prices will be the same for anyone wishing to purchase a season pass. The prices that appear reflect all discounts available at the time of sale.
Children 8 years old or younger and Seniors 65 and older receive FREE season passes.
All Season Passholders will receive one FREE tubing session for weekday use during the 2008 - 2009 season.
Tubular Thursdays - All passholders can tube on Thursdays for only $4 per session.

Treetops offers some of the finest terrain in the Midwest. Take advantage of our 23 picturesque ski runs, complete with three chairlifts and two tow ropes. A guest seating area in the Warming Hut is located at the base of the slopes where parents have a clear view of their children learning to ski. To further ease the transition of the beginner skier, we have extended one of the tow ropes an additional 145 feet to a lower location. We also feature two terrain parks filled with tabletops and rails for skiers and snowboarders in search of a challenge.
